As we continue to strive to be your resource throughout your weight loss journey, we are excited to announce we are now on Pinterest to provide you more information at your finger tips. Bailey Bariatrics dietitian Rene Norman, RD/LD, has shared valuable nutritional information with our Facebook fans in her weekly “Tip from Rene” posted on our Facebook page and will continue to do so. Rene is now joined by Bailey Bariatrics dietitian Stephanie McKinney, RD/LD, not only for in-person patient consultations, but also online as a contributor to our Pinterest boards - 20 boards ranging from “Bariatric Bites” and “Sensible Snacking” to “Products We Like” and “Food Storage Tips,” for example. From the practical tips on easy-to-grab 100-calories snacks to an app that reminds you to eat more slowly, our approach to the information we collect and share with you on Pinterest is to help you more easily navigate your weight loss journey - from pre-op to post-op.
“Pinterest is a great way for us to highlight products we have found that may be useful during your Bariatric journey,” shares Stephanie. “We would like to also invite you to send us pins you have found that you would like to share with the Bailey Bariatric Community.”
“Your nutrition needs change as you move from being a pre-surgery patient to being a post-surgery patient,” Rene says of adding Pinterest to our online resources. “This provides you information you can use as you move through the bariatric surgery process. You will find ideas from basic cooking skills and recipes to eating behavior to help you throughout your bariatric journey. We look forward to providing updated information to support your success before and after surgery.”
Follow along on Pinterest and re-pin the information most valuable to you. Have ideas you would like to share with us? Don’t hesitate to send us pins! Happy pinning!
