Exercise Information

The exercise consultations are an assessment and evaluation of past and current exercise habits. Areas of work will be identified to improve your cardiovascular system, strength and flexibility prior to surgery. The exercise specialist will customize the exercise plan to meet the individual’s needs and goals. After surgery, patients can schedule additional consultations as their bodies begin to change. Patients receive materials at each exercise consultation and support groups will also be discussed during the exercise consultation. This time is used to discuss the importance and significance of being involved in our GEAR support group program. The support groups will be instrumental to your overall success as a patient.
