3-6 Weeks After

Soft/Pureed Protein


3 WEEKS AFTER SURGERY:

Soft Fish:  Fillet of Sole, Red Snapper, Flounder, Cod, Tilapia, Orange Roughy, Crappie, Trout, Whiting, Catfish, Swai, Tuna and Salmon.

Other Seafood:  Shell fish (ex. Shrimp, Lobster, Crab, Scallops) and tougher fish (ex. Swordfish, shark, Mahi-mahi) will need to be pureed.

 

4 WEEKS AFTER SURGERY: Soft or pureed low-fiber vegetables such as green beans or carrots. Texture needs to be like canned vegetables use pureed baby food vegetables. 

 

6 WEEKS AFTER SURGERY: Thin mashed potatoes with skim milk or 1% milk. Make sure there are no lumps in the mashed potatoes before swallowing.
