Your “new normal”
Two months post-op:
Moist, tender chicken or turkey
- Rotisserie, canned, deli meat, cooked in a crock pot or baked in broth
- Soft or pureed canned fruits (water or juice packed, drain juice)
Meal ideas:
- Water packed diced peaches with fat-free or low-fat cottage cheese or yogurt (regular or Greek style)
- Split a string cheese into two-three pieces, lengthwise. Roll a slice of deli turkey around the string cheese
Three months post-op:
Overcooked pasta and rice. Cook thoroughly and then allow to sit in water until very soggy. Undercooked pasta and rice will continue to expand in your stomach.
